What My Summer Salads Taught Me About Intentional Living
Summer 2024? I had no 9–5. I was stepping out in faith, praying for clarity, provision, and a sense of purpose. Summer 2025?
I’m working a demanding full-time job and stewarding a business that started from those same prayers.
But no matter the season, the salads stay.
Not just for health, but for ease. For peace. For preparedness.
Because when you’ve battled a demanding morning, especially in this London heat, the last thing you want is to wonder what am I going to eat now?
These salads have been my soft place to land — crisp, flavourful bowls I can pull out the fridge and enjoy. Sometimes they’re topped with a veggie patty from @sainsburys or @juicypatties. Other days it’s a bunless @lindamccartneyfoods burger or corn chicken nuggets from @quorn_uk. Always paired with something leafy, colourful, and satisfying.
And if I don’t make my own dressing? @marksandspencer has me covered. Because intentional living doesn’t mean doing the most — it just means choosing with care.
This isn’t about diet culture. It’s about discipline. About showing up for yourself with what you’ve got in the fridge and the strength you’ve got in your spirit.
And honestly? That’s enough.
